50th ReunionWNyack

In conjunction with the CCHS Class of '64 50 Year Reunion, the West Nyack Elementary School 6th Grade Class of 1958 held a luncheon and mini-reunion on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the West Nyack Library pictured below.  The Library building was one part of the old West Nyack Elementary School, which was closed in December of 1957 (57 years ago), halfway through this class's 6th grade year, after which they moved to the "new" West Nyack Elementary on West Nyack Road.  The old, wooden section, built in the 1880's, was demolished and the Library occupied the "new" section (built in the 1920s) in 1959.

Our class left the old School at the Christmas break in 1957, many of us not to return for 57 years until this Reunion.

Getting settled in before lunch. It's funny, people were so excited to see each other we just couldn't stop talking!
